Do You Know Him?

Before you go any further, there are three Kingdom truths you need to know, understand and keep at the center of your heart from this moment forward on your Salvation journey:

1. God loves you.

2. God wants a REAL relationship with you.

3. God created you for His purpose.

These are vital truths that MUST become part of every believer and follower of Christ’s existence. Why? Because without them it is going to be very challenging for you to stay the course on your journey

THERE ARE 3 TRUTHS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (KJV)

Salvation is the free gift God lovingly and mercifully offers to all of humanity, through Christ Jesus. Salvation is the only method of deliverance from earthly life and eternity of sin and destruction that results from living separated from God. Salvation is the only passageway to become a Kingdom of God citizen.

Colossians 1:13 – “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” (KJV)

WHAT IS
SALVATION?

Romans 5:12 – “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (KJV)

When God, the Creator of all existence, created humanity, it was never His intention that we would ever live apart from Him. In fact, there was only one thing that could sever His relationship with humanity, sin. Why? Because God is holy. When sin entered the divine relationship between God and humanity, because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-24), this resulted in our separation from God. This one act of sin against God was also responsible for contaminating the nature of all humanity. This means we were all born sinners and naturally fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). BUT because of God’s unfailing love toward and longing desire to be with humanity, He did not leave us this way. He sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, to provide a solution to our sin problem.

WHY DO I NEED SALVATION?

WHO PROVIDES ME WITH SALVATION?

John 3:16-17 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (KJV)

There is only one qualified in name, nature and works to provide Salvation to humanity. His name is Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God. He was sent here to restore right relationship between humanity and God. It is only through our confession of, belief in and acceptance of His love, Salvation and Lordship over our lives that we can be saved.

Acts 4:12 – “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (KJV)

John 1:12-13 – “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (KJV)

The first, and most important, benefit of Salvation is you are given the right to be a son or daughter of God. Contrary to what many believe, we are all God’s creation, but we are not all His children. As His child, there are many benefits that accompany your Salvation like: a new nature in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), friendship with God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit (John 15:15), a good life plan and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11), eternal life with God in Heaven (1 John 5:11 and Revelation 21:1-4), freedom from bondage (Galatians 5:1), never abandoned or comfortless (Deuteronomy 31:6 and John 14:18), joy (John 15:10-11) physical healing (Isaiah 53:5), peace with and of God (Romans 5:1 and Philippians 4:7), God’s provision (Philippians 4:13), God’s protection (Psalms 32:7), God’s guidance (Proverbs 3:5-6). As you can see, there are countless benefits of Salvation in Christ Jesus. The list goes on and on. Now, are you ready to walk in the GOOD LIFE?!?

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SALVATION?
HOW DO I OBTAIN SALVATION?

Romans 10:8-10 – “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (KJV)

Because of His unfailing love toward all of humanity, God made it easy for us to be restored to right relationship with Him – confess and believe. To obtain Salvation, all you have to do is confess with your mouth and truly believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He died for your sins, God raised Him from the dead and He is now alive and sits on the right hand of the God in Heaven.

Dear Lord Jesus, I come to you acknowledging that you are the Holy and Sovereign God of all creation, and I am a sinner. I no longer want to be separated from you, but I want a real relationship with you. Right now, I make the decision to turn away from the world, sin and being led by my flesh to follow you. Please forgive me for all my sins Father, known and unknown. I declare with my mouth with total belief in my heart that Jesus Christ is your Son who died for my sins and whom you raised from the dead to sit at your right hand in Heaven. Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, take over my life and save me now. From this day forward I am yours. Transform me. Give me a heart to seek and please you. Help me to live a life that reverences you in words, thoughts, and actions. Instruct me in righteousness through your Word daily. And help me to abide in you and be and bear remaining fruit. I believe by faith, that I am right now born-again in Jesus’ name. Amen.
