What We Believe

At M.L.A.M., the Bible, in its totality, is the governing authority and sole source of who and what we define as Truth, and where we receive instruction in righteousness to live a life pleasing to God. With this said, the Statement of Faith is not an exhaustive list of our beliefs. Rather, it is a snapshot of beliefs commonly questioned by those seeking a deeper relationship with God through Christ and/or being led to become an M.L.A.M. partner.

Salvation

We believe Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all humanity. It is God’s free gift to humanity, not a result of what we do, but only available through God’s unearned favor and love. By admitting we have sinned and believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, and accepting Him as Lord, we can spend eternity with God. (John 3:16-18; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1; Romans 3:24

Word of God

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God, divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, and provides every answer to humanity’s questions for and problems of life. God has given us His Word to instruct us in righteousness to live according to His principles and standards of living. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Triune

Nature of God

We believe in the triune nature of God – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7)

Diety
of The Lord
Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, being both human and divine – 100% God and 100% man – only through whom can fallen humanity be restored to right fellowship with God the Father. (John 1:1,14, 18; John 16:28, Luke 3:22; Hebrews 2:17)

Ressurection of Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ’s blameless and atoning crucifixion and burial to, once and for all, conquer sin, death, hell, the enemy and all the works of darkness. After His crucifixion, He was raised from the dead on the third day and ascended to Heaven where He now sits on the right hand of the throne of God advocating for and preparing a place for His Church in the Kingdom of God. (Hebrews 10:1-14; John 11:25-26; Luke 24:6-7; 1 Corinthians 15:12-21: John 14:1-4; 1 Peter 1:3)

Humanity's

 Relationship With God

We believe that humanity is created in the image and likeness of God but separated from God by sin. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and need Salvation. Without Jesus Christ, we cannot have a relationship with God. He is the way, the truth, and the life. (Genesis 1:26; 1 Timothy 2:5; John 14:6)

The Baptism of
The Holy Spirit with The Bible Evidence of Speaking
in Tongue

We believe that the in-filling of the Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent to Salvation, and that it is the will of God that all be filled. He is given as a seal of our Salvation and helps empower the believer to progressively develop the character of Christ and live every day in God’s perfect will. (Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4)

Sanctification

We believe sanctification is a lifelong progressive process of allowing God’s character to be developed in us as we draw closer to Him and become more Christlike in words, thoughts, and actions. (Romans 6:19;

Galatians 5:22-25)

Biblical Definition of Marriage

We believe the institution of marriage was created by God as a holy union between one man and one woman. (Gen. 2:24;

Matt. 19:4-5)

Healing

We believe healing is provided in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and is actively and restoratively available to every believer physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. (Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35; Acts 10:38; Matthew 10:1)

The Church

Has A Mission

We believe the Church has a mission to seek and lead all who are lost in sin to Salvation through Christ Jesus. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:47; Matthew 16:16-19;

John 6:44-47)

Spiritual Gifts

We believe God gives all believers spiritual gifts. They are for the strengthening of God’s people (the Church) and proof of God’s existence and power to unbelievers. The gifts of the Spirit are active and relevant today.

(1 Corinthians 12:4-11;

1 Peter 4:10)

Eternal Separation From God (Hell)

We believe that hell is a real place, as the Bible describes it. It is a place of suffering and a place of permanent separation from God for those who die without accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. God’s desire is that no one be separated from Him for eternity, which is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to be the propitiation of our sins and restored to right fellowship with Him. (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:12-15;

John 3:16-18; Romans 3:23-25)

Return of

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return and take all those who have accepted Him as Savior to be with Him for eternity.

(Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Hebrews 9:28

Baptism & Communion

We believe in water baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper, as taught, and demonstrated by Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4;

Matthew 3:13-17
